A warm welcome to Jyväskylän Vapaaseurakunta — the Evangelical Free Church of Jyväskylä! We have people of around 20 different nationalities, and all of us have been blessed by this variety. The church was founded in 1892, and belongs to the Evangelical Free Church of Finland. We currently have about 700 adults and 300 children.
Our main services are on Sundays at 16:00. The services are interpreted simultaneously from Finnish into English over wireless headphones. Our church is located at Ahjokatu 16.
University students and young adults also have their own weekly gatherings, look for Lumina Campus on Facebook and Instagram.

We want to be a worshipping and praying church. Our passion is to see people come to Christ in our town and become devoted followers of Jesus. Our church also plays a strong role in world missions, with missionaries in several countries around the globe. We acknowledge a need for in depth fellowship with one another, and for each to feel a real sense of belonging to God’s family.
We would love to have you join our services to worship our living Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. We have also run fellowship and Bible study groups in English, and an English Alpha course. Please do not hesitate to come along to a service or get in touch if you have any questions.
