Briefly in English

A warm welcome to Jyväskylän Vapaaseurakunta - the Free Evangelical Church of Jyväskylä! We have people of over 10 different nationalities, and all of us have been blessed by this variety.

Our main services are on Sundays at 16.00 (18:00 in the summer) and the Varustamo youth service on Thursdays at 19.00. The services are interpreted simultaneously from Finnish into English over wireless headphones, which you can get from the balcony.

We want to be a worshipping and praying church. Our passion is to see people come to Christ in our town and become devoted followers of Jesus. Our church also plays a strong role in world missions, with missionaries in several countries around the globe. We acknowledge a need for in depth fellowship with one another, and for each to feel a real sense of belonging to God's family.

We would love to have you join our services to worship our living Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. We also have fellowship and Bible study groups in English, and run an English Alpha course. Please do not hesitate to come along to a service or get in touch if you have any questions.
